October's Music Feature

OCTOBER FEATURE ON JPOP

gomen minna. haven't been uploading in ages T^T
so here's a long post with a few singles i've fallen in love with :D

this time i bring you kotoko's newest single, 七転八起☆至上主義！or "Shichiten Hakki Shijo Shugi!". This is also featured as the 2nd OP of hayate no gotoku, one of the animes that is currently airing.

upbeat, catchy and very addictive, kotoko's vocals definately will get you hooked onto this song, although beware people that get annoyed by cute high pitched-ish voices. it's not the type of song that average j-rock/other genres would like. the first track is full of anime feel, but the second track is some-what more bearable if you aren't a big fan of the cutesy high pitched jpop songs. i know this review seems a bit contradictory, but im trying to give an opinion for both sides, as my music taste is a bit of both >_<

YUI's new single was anticipated with much anxiety. im sorry i upload like a month later after it was released, and i know lots of you probably have it already. but it's such a pity not putting this on here >_<>, starring erika sajiwari, as the main song. the awesome vocals from YUI never cease to dissapoint. Jam is much more upbeat, but to my disappointment, a bit too short for my liking. but nonetheless Jam stole my heart and is now my ringtone =X

now, this single is too good to not feature. l'arc en ciel's new single, daybreak's bell, and also the first OP of the new gundam series - gundam 00.

with hyde's amazing vocals, the band makes a new, and even better impression on me. the band makes another awesome song and the OP of the new anime is just another bonus. although some people may not be able to appreciate fully the single's awesomeness...all i can say to you is that you need to train your musical taste.

hirano aya is probably familiar to everyone as suzumiya haruhi's seiyu, and the awesome singles like god knows and lost my music can't be too far off in your memory.

but if you're expecting something bright and happy like haruhi's character singles, try again. the drum beat keeps the rhythm in the background steady. the english part of the lyrics may be a bit...lulz like (kill you, love you, OKAY), but the song as a whole is awesome. glitter is quite ear-catching [if that's a phrase], and quite addictive. although i personally like love gun better

and the PV isn't as good as you would expect. just a warning for you =X
